After having asurface/the floorsanders over to look at and sand my floors I decided to have the floor finished  in a high gloss lacquer.  The warm colour and well defined grain  of rich walnut can really add depth to a room and to encourage this look we decided to leave a small gap between each plank to give the impression of a more chunky finish.  Most people prefer to have the gaps filled but I was lucky to have the expertise of the floor sanders, create a look I love, it was a job well done!
