Q My floorboards look a mess, will they be too bad to sand ?
A Many floorboards look in bad condition as they have never seen the light of day. Plumbers may have to cut through the boards and these can easily be replaced and matched.

Q I've pulled my carpet back and found a concrete hearth, can anything be done ?
A Unless you are intending to restore a fire place we can remove out the concrete uplift. The surrounding floor boards and relay boards filling the void left by the hearth with salvage boards.

Q Will your machines make much dust ?
A Our machines are 90% dust free as appose to 45% ( Hire Machines ). The machines we use are the leading in the market for performance dust collection and they all have built in vacuums to minimise dust.

Q How long will the work take ?
A On an Average size room (12ft x 12ft) if you include sanding and staining it will take 2 days

Q Will i have to move my furniture ?
A Yes please, but we are able to help with large or heavy furniture.

Q Can the gaps between the floors be filled ?
A Gap filling can be done in a few ways. One is to mix PVA or LECOL with wood dust. The second use fillets of wood, made up from reclaimed pine which is glued and left proud and then sanded flush the following day.

Q Is there a choice of colour ?
A Yes. We have a wide range of stains to choose from, we would apply test patches for you to choose from.

Q Is there a Choise of Finishes ?
A We use a multitude of professional wood floor lacquers, some of which are water based with low VOC's.

Q How do i clean and maintain my floor ?
A Damp mop, not too much water or cleaning products. Hoover with soft bristles.

Q What are the benefits of having my floors sanded ?
A Apart from looking beautiful, they are hygienic, easy to keep clean and beneficial to asthma suffers with dirt allergy. They do not harbour dust mites found in carpets and are a must for children and pets.
